Here is some of my Amazing Architecture Notes from: Holidify.com's article Architecture and Styles found on 3/27/2023. 


Holidify.com says, that Houston, the Space City's homes boast Craftsman, Colonial Revival, & Post-War Neoclassical architectural styles homes. The site, also discusses the importance of a real estate developer, Gerald D. Hines, in the Architectural development of our Amazing city Houston (https://www.holidify.com/pages/architecture-of-houston-5353.html). 


The infamous Alley Theatre, is the oldest professional theatre company in Texas, designed in a Brutalist style by Ulrich Franzen, and has some nostalgic hints to the Frank Llyod Wright buildings. 


The Jesse H. Jones Hall boasts a must-see spectacular ceiling with a luminescent Italian Marble exterior, that attracts native Houstonians and tourists from across the globe. 


The Museum of Fine Arts here in Houston was established in 1900, and features some very distinct neoclassical architecture while the contemporary art museum showcases some contemporary, modernist, stainless steel architectural themes. 


River Oaks is a very popular destination for luxury homes, fine-dining, and shopping. This is said to be the very first shopping centre in Houston, and still remains both classic and modern. (77019, 77027) 

The Prestigious JP Morgan Chase Tower is noted as the tallest building in Texas, and the 71 storied Wells Fargo Bank Plaza skyscraper is noted as the second tallest building in Texas, in the Holidify.com's Architecture of Houston - Houston's Architecture and Styles article. 


Heritage Plaza, designed by M. Nasar, located near the center of downtown Houston, is 53 stories tall with a stepped granite structure at the top of the building, thought by some to resemble a Mayan pyramid or a bald eagle spreading its wings. 


Houston City Hall, constructed between 1938 & 1939, was designed by Joseph Finger with some architectural features & sculpture produced in Beaumont, TX by artist Herring Coe and designer Raoul Josset. 


Post Oak Boulevard has the Williams Waterwall, located near the Galleria Mall. This spectacular architecture phenomenon is a definite must see that stands adjacent to the 901ft. Williams Tower designed by Phillip Johnson. 


The Astrodome is the world's first domed stadium, spanning over 9-1/2 acres of land. This magnificent stadium was conceptualized by Roy Hofheinz, designed by architects Hermon Lloyd, W.B. Morgan, Wilson, Morris, Crain, & Anderson. Walter P Moore Engineers & Consultants of Houston are the structural designers and structural engineers of this spectacular stadium. Holidify.com article says, the astrodome is situated 25 feet below ground level and has a ceiling 208 feet above the playing field.


Postmodern architecture style with Dutch Gothic architectural elements are evident styles of the Houston's Bank of America Centre. This 1983 built skyscraper is 780 feet tall with 56 stories, and red Swedish granite. Holidify.com says this building is said to be the most beautiful building situated in downtown Houston. 


The Johnson Space Center located in the Clear Lake Area of Houston, TX was designed by Charles Luckman and built by Joseph L. Smith & Associates, then leased to NASA, officially inaugurated in 1963, and known for the moon missions. 

January 13, 2023, Nasa said, "Following two Artemis test missions, Artemis III, currently planned for 2025, will mark humanity's first return to the lunar surface in more than 50 years," (https://www.nasa.gov/feature/artemis-iii).
